Types of Lessons

Voice lessons focus primarily on technique. During a lesson, students learn how to free tensions with their instrument in order to release optimal sound to achieve ultimate artistic expression. If you are struggling with discomfort, lack of range or overall insecurity, regular technique instruction is the answer for you!

Vocal and dramatic repertoire coaching is also available. This is most suitable for performers with advanced technique who are looking to take a deeper dive into  their performance and audition material. The focus will be on musicality and interpretation, while addressing character building, development, clear and proper diction, phrasing, and interpretation in order to develop the character while maintaining optimal sound for musical expression.  

For students hoping to audition for conservatory programs for college, Renée offers training, planning and counseling to best prepare you to give your best  audition performance. This involves both technique and dramatic coaching. There is a rise of self-tape audition submissions,  as well as preliminary audition self-tape auditions. Renée offers feedback and instruction for all aspects of audition videos.

 Students who need video lessons and do not live in Texas, can have the same technique and performance instruction, but from the comfort of your own home, via Zoom or FaceTime. Students may also have a brief (15-20 min) session to fine tune repertoire, technique, and/or vocal warm up exercises while away or before a performance.
